The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the NEET 2024 exam on May 5, 2024, from 2 PM to 5:20 PM (IST). The exam will be held in over 500 cities across India and abroad, and around 20 lakh candidates are expected to appear.
The NEET 2024 application form is expected to be released in the fourth week of January 2024, along with the information brochure and detailed notification. However, there is no official confirmation regarding the NEET 2024 registration date yet.
The NEET syllabus 2024 and the NEET 2024 eligibility criteria have undergone major changes. The rest of the information regarding the NEET 2024 dates, exam pattern, centres, etc. will be released along with the notification.
The full form of NEET is National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET). It is the sole entrance test for admission to undergraduate medical and paramedical courses offered in India. The exam is conducted once a year in offline or paper-pencil-based test (PBT) mode for three hours and 20 minutes or 200 minutes. As far as the NEET exam pattern is concerned, there are 200 questions from Physics, Chemistry and Biology, out of which 180 questions have to be attempted.

The exam is conducted in 13 languages. Over 20 lakh candidates appear for the NEET exam. MBBS is the most preferred medical course followed by BDS and BSc Nursing. Last year, the number of NEET takers surpassed the previous years' records.

NEET 2024 Application Form Process
The NEET application form 2024 will be released tentatively in the fourth week of January 2024 in an online mode by NTA on the official website of NEET. The actual NEET 2024 application form date is yet to be announced by the exam officials. Aspirants aiming to appear for the exam will have to complete the NEET UG registration details, fill up the application form online and submit it, along with the payment of the requisite application fee. Candidates will have to visit the official website to fill in the mandatory details and upload the required files such as applicants' photographs, signatures and documents. The final step is to pay the application fee through one of the slated payment modes, including Credit/Debit Card, Net Banking, UPI and Paytm. The NEET 2024 registration date is likely to last for around two months, after which NTA will provide a correction facility for select fields. Over 20 lakh candidates are expected to appear for NEET 2024.
