MBA vs. PGDM/PGP?

A more difficult decision is whether to pursue an MBA degree or an equivalent qualification, such as PGDM or PGP. Academically, PGDM/PGP programs are considered more practical and industry-focused when compared to MBA programs, which are usually more theoretical and technical. However, when it comes to industry recognition and the job market, both an MBA and a PGDM/PGP are equal in the eyes of employers in India. What matters more is the reputation of the business school. One place that an MBA degree may have an edge over its competitors is that MBA qualifications are recognized around the world.
